Justin Bieber might have postponed a performance this past Sunday because of illness, but the teen sensation is still set to play the Maryland State Fair this weekend, organizers said.
Concert promoter Paul Manna, who booked Bieber to perform Sunday at the Timonium fairgrounds, said he’s not too worried about a Bieber cancellation.
“If this were the day before our show, I would be a lot more concerned than I am now,” Manna said. “It’s a bit concerning, but I can’t control these things.”
Bieber, who is in the middle of his “My World 2.0″ tour, is one of today’s most in-demand live acts. Sunday, he was scheduled to perform at the New York State Fair, but the date was moved to Wednesday after Bieber came down with an unspecified illness. If Bieber is still sick this Sunday, the show would most likely be rescheduled — not canceled, Manna said.
“We would make every effort to make up the date as soon as possible,” he said.
Manna said he had fielded half a dozen phone calls from concerned fans by 10 a.m. Monday morning, and he reassured people that Sunday’s show is still on.
“I think we’ll be fine,” he said.
