Get The Justin Bieber ‘Do: ‘Baby’ Singer’s Hairstyle Is In High Demand By Tweens All Over

To Bieb or not to Bieb? Not even a question for the hordes of youthful fans flocking to salons across the city to trim their tresses à la Justin Bieber – just in time for his concert Tuesday at Madison Square Garden.

Hair palaces from Someplace Special in the Bronx to Doodle Dos on Christopher St. say requests for remakes of the prepubescent “Baby” crooner’s silky soft strands have shot up this week.

“I’ve been surprisingly shocked by how much boys care about how they dress,” says Suzanne Axelbank, hair stylist and owner of Someplace Special, who trims four Bieber clones a week.

Doodle Dos, which caters mostly to toddlers, also has seen high demand.

“He’s definitely a big influence on our customer base,” says manager Donte Lyles. “It’s a high-request hair style, especially for our older toddlers and our tweens. Honestly, in a week’s time we get at least a dozen requests for the Justin Bieber haircut.”

One guess why tweens clamor for it.

“I get a lot of attention,” says Isaac Steiger, 13, while getting clipped by Axelbank. “Sometimes, girls say I have a cute haircut and compliment me.”

Steiger’s younger brother Sammy, 6, tagged along to try his turn at the popular mop. “I like Justin Bieber and I like his singing a lot,” he admits. “I don’t know any of his songs, but I kinda wanted to look like him.”

Girls, too, are getting into the ‘do. Jade Acot, 9, of Bayside, Queens, requested it at her salon, bringing in a Bieber photo for the stylist to re-create.

Jade’s mom, Lynette, had concerns. “I was okay with it, but I asked the stylist to still keep it a little girlish,” she says.

Bieber’s hair fans have one person to thank: Vanessa Price, the Los Angeles-based stylist who invented the look.

Price, 35, first met Bieber at a photo shoot before his initial single, “One Time,” made waves.

“It was absolutely different then,” she says of his famed locks, which she trims every two weeks. “It was a little longer, a little bit shaggier. It was kind of a mixture between the Zac Efron thing and a
mullet. It was like hockey hair.”

Price gives equal credit to Bieber for the look and praises his eye for style.

“He loves hair! He’s got a really good eye for symmetry, balance,” she says. “We joke that he’ll become a hair stylist.”
