Eccentric singer Lady Gaga may still be the queen of Twitter with a total of 7 million followers, but it appears that 16-year old singing sensation Justin Bieber is following closely behind. Thanks to the star’s massive fan-base, Bieber has now reached the 6 million Twitter followers milestone.
According to a recent article over at mtv.com by Jocelyn Vena, the “Baby” singer took to his Twitter page to thank all his fans, posting a message that read: 6 MILLION OF THE GREATEST FANS ON EARTH ON TWITTER!!!! THANK U.” He then went on to say that his hometown only has a total of 30,000 people.
This definitely isn’t the first time that Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber have battled it out in the world of social media. Only last month, the two were both fighting to reach 1 billion YouTube hits before each other. Lady Gaga was of course the first to reach that very special milestone.
