Justin Bieber can add another ‘big night’ to his calendar. The “Never Say Never” star has just been named as one of the leading international BRIT Awards 2011 nominees, joining the cast of Glee, Kanye West, Bruno Mars and Alicia Keys to name a few.
Nominations for the BRIT Awards 2011 (Brits), the UK’s biggest night in music, were revealed Thursday in London with guests including rising singer/songwriter Jessie J.
Bieber, already holding two nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys, is nominated for Breakthrough International Act. Bieber will face off with Glee, Bruno Mars, The National and Temper Trap.
The Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Robyn, and Kylie Minogue are also nominated for awards, including International Female Solo Artist, International Male Solo Artist, and International Group (see nominations below).
Katy Perry leads the international categories, earning two nominations — International Female Solo Artist and International Album.
The BRIT Awards 2011 air from London’s O2 Arena February 15, 2011. Performers and presenters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
