Jomari Yllana Wants To Bring Bieber Fever To RP

MANILA, Philippines – After bringing some of the biggest foreign acts in the country in the past year, actor and concert producer Jomari Yllana wants Justin Bieber next.

“Sa totoo lang wala pa kaming naka-line up. But if I alone were to choose kung sino ang gusto ko, si Justin Bieber,” he said at a recent press conference.

Jomari, together with controversial congressman Ronald Singson, head Fearless Productions, which in the past has organized concerts of “American Idol” alums David Cook and David Archuleta (from Season 7), as well as Kris Allen (Season 8), YouTube sensation Marié Digby, R&B superstar Usher, and most recently (and if we may say, the controversial), John Mayer.

Before Usher’s Manila concert last September, speculations spawned that the “OMG” singer will bring his protégé along with him—as Justin is said to join Usher in his travels. However, no sign of the 16-year old teen heartthrob was seen on the day of the show.

There were also reports about concert organizers negotiating to bring the “Bieber Fever” in Manila. But it was eventually refuted by Justin’s Philippine representative.

As of this writing, though, Justin is just a few hours away from Manila, as he is currently in Japan to perform for his fans—and marvel about the Land of the Rising Sun’s “amazing heated toilet seats” as he posted in his Facebook page last Oct. 12.

Also last Oct. 12, his autobiography “First Step 2 Forever: My Story,” hit shelves. The “100% official”-stamped book currently stands at number 24 in Amazon.com’s Top 100 Books—and with the young Beliebers in full force—has landed on number one in Children’s Books (in three categories namely Biographies – Musical, Music – Popular, and People & Places – Boys & Men).

And in another seeming expansion of his growing empire, Justin will also launch his own—of all things—nail polish line on December. Named “One Less Lonely Girl” (after one of his hit singles), the collection will be made available for Nicole by OPI.

Justin has also received good news while he’s in Japan. “?4 AMA Nods!! Thank u all so much!! Nominated with Eminem. Thats beast,” he posted on Facebook on Oct. 13. The “Baby” singer is nominated for “Artist of the Year,” “Breakthrough Artist of the Year,” “Favorite Male – Pop or Rock,” and “Album of the Year – Pop or Rock” (for “My World 2.0”) at the 2010 American Music Awards which will be held in November.

With a crazy schedule like his, Justin still has time to think about—and probably spend time with—the ladies. In a recent article, he revealed that his “ideal wingman” is “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson, whom he hopes would teach him the tricks that would work with British women. An “unstoppable flirting force,” indeed, as MSN.com put it.
