Texas town's 'Justin Bieber Way' street sign recovered from teen thieves - Pocono Record

<div id="leftCol" readability="42.8055822907"> <div class="noindex"> <p><span class="by">By </span><span class="byline">NewsCore</span></p> <p>&#13; &#13; <span>August 19, 2011<span>&#13; &#13; </span></span></p> </div> <p class="articleGraf">FORNEY, Texas -- Cops in a Texas town whose 11-year-old "mayor for a day" renamed a street Justin Bieber Way, only to have the sign stolen, recovered it from a group of teens.</p><p class="articleGraf">Caroline Gonzalez served as "mayor" of Forney on Tuesday after earning the title by raising money for orphans. During her short tenure, she renamed Main Street after the 17-year-old Canadian pop star.</p> <p class="articleGraf">The Justin Bieber Way sign was supposed to remain in place through the weekend, according to The Dallas Morning News, but residents of the town just east of Dallas noticed that it was missing Thursday morning.</p><p class="articleGraf">Caroline's father, Tony Gonzalez, said that he had "never seen her so mad," and the town's real mayor, Darren Rozell, vowed to replace the sign. "We're not going to leave this little girl's summer on a sour note," he added.</p><p class="articleGraf">And although a local business quickly donated a replacement sign, which was put up Thursday night, local cops were determined to find the original green signpost.</p><p class="articleGraf">It was understood that a group of teens accidentally broke the sign after hanging from it, myFOXdfw.com reported, and that cops recovered it late Thursday.</p><p class="articleGraf">"I don't think [the teens] were trying to be malicious.
