Is Justin Bieber Singing A Christmas Duet With Selena Gomez For His Christmas Album?:
Justin Bieber has been talking about his upcoming Christmas album quite a bit recently. What we know so far is that Justin still hasn’t picked out a name for the album, but that he is planning on raising a lot of money for charity through album sales. This makes us wonder if the album is only going to have music from Justin, or if the pop star will be collaborating with a bunch of artists in order to boost sales of the CD.
One thing we know for sure is that if Justin and his girlfriend Selena Gomez teamed up for a duet on the album, sales would skyrocket! Both Justin and Selena’s fans have been dying to hear a duet from the duo, but nothing has come to fruition yet. This would be the perfect opportunity for the two to team up for a song. We’ll keep you posted if it happens.

The popular MTV show “Punk’d” is officially coming back, and Justin Bieber is the first celeb to pull a prank on the show! While Justin won’t be hosting the series, as previously rumored, he does headline the very first episode and a different celebrity will host the show each time.
Justin’s prank is on his unsuspecting friend, Taylor Swift. No word yet on how Justin Punk’d her, but we know one thing for sure – we’ll be tuning in when “Punk’d” returns to TV so we can see!
The show will continue to be executive produced by the former host, Ashton Kutcher.

Now the show has been revamped with the prank-loving Biebs doing the Ashton Kutcher honors. JB's first attempt--crashing Swift's August 23, L.A. concert--was a resounding success. And Justin Bieber won Best Male Video for "U Smile." He competed against Eminem, Cee-Lo Green, Bruno Mars, and Kanye West.

Review: iTunes Promo Singles - "Love Me" & "Favorite Girl"

I've got two songs to review this time around. And the reason for two is because these songs were both iTunes promotional singles for My World and released within about a week of each other. The two songs are "Love Me" and "Favorite Girl."
I mentioned last week that single #2, "One Less Lonely Girl" was the song released closest to the EP release date. And while technically true in terms of official singles, LM and FG were, in general, the songs everyone got to hear closest to the release. These were what were going to be used to promote the album. And they were definitely great choices to release as these iTunes promo singles, especially "Love Me."
As a single, I didn't particularly think that "One Less Lonely Girl" was a standout in terms of people remembering it. But that's not a problem at all with LM and FG.

"Love Me" is my favorite of the two, mainly because of how catchy the song is (and if you've been reading my previous reviews, you know how important a factor I think that is). The chorus, especially, stands out: "Love me, love me, say that you love me / Fool me, fool me, oh how you do me / Kiss me, kiss me, say that you miss me / Tell me what I wanna hear, tell me you love me." The arrangement of the beat and tempo is excellent, in how the vocal emphasis is on "love," "fool," and "kiss" in each of those lines. Whenever Bieber gets to those lines again, I look forward to it. At the time of this writing, I have listened to the song quite a few times. And those parts of the song are stuck in my head on a loop now.

A catchy song = money for them. And for the fans, a catchy song = so much enjoyment, listening over and over again, and just getting lost in the music. So reading after the fact that this was in mid-2010 made more sense.

Bieber has said that this music video is a "tribute to his worldwide fans, thanking them for their support." And it's a good way to do a tribute of sorts. It's also a great glimpse into what his concerts are like, as well as seeing what goes on backstage (and to let you know, I'm a big fan of seeing behind-the-scenes of things).
"Favorite Girl" is another great song choice to promote the album. Just as "Love Me" has a catchy hook (with the vocal emphasis on "love," "fool," and "kiss"), so does "Favorite Girl." For this song, the hook, what makes the song catchy, is the parts in the chorus when the vocals go up at the end of the phrases and lines. An example is with "My prize possession, one and only / Adore you girl, I want you." The vocal emphasis where the notes go up are on "possession," "only," "you," and "you." It does something different to those lines. If they are sung without those little bounces, I guess I could call them, not only would the chorus not stand out, but neither would the song as a whole either.
So again, as I said, both great choices to promote the song with leading up to the release. "Love Me" received great reception and reviews from music critics, and it's no wonder why. If I had to choose a favorite song out of the four I've reviewed so far, I might go with "Love Me."

"Because I wouldn't be here without Him. He's really blessed me. He's put me in this position. So I want to say thank you so much." </p><p>The win marked two Moonmen in two years for Bieber, who nabbed Best New Artist for "Baby" at the 2010 VMAs (besting Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj and Jason Derülo) and who is quickly making certain his name and music are deeply engrained in the MTV award show. Last year, of course, Bieber opened the VMAs with a medley outside in Nokia Plaza. "Punk'd" Begins Filming with Justin Bieber Pranking Taylor Swift In Premiere Episode
Filming began on the premiere episode last Friday (Aug. 26) with Justin Bieber as that episode's host. According to Access Hollywood, Bieber's target was none other than his recent "Baby" duet partner, Taylor Swift. Specific details have not been released regarding how the prank went down.
Songwriter/Producer Kuk Harrell recently tweeted that Bieber and Swift have co-written a song together. No word yet on if the song will make Bieber's next original album, which he is currently in the studio working on.
As if Bieber isn't busy enough, he is also planning on releasing a Christmas album this holiday season. No release date has been set.
Even though I never watched the original Punk'd on a regular basis, I enjoyed watching them in reruns when I could. And I can't wait for this updated version (and I'll be reviewing the Bieber/Swift episode here on Bieber Guy). It should be a blast to watch!
Justin Bieber Working on Christmas Album for Holiday Release
On Twitter, Bieber has been requesting suggestions for album titles. Some of his fans have been sending him funny responses, including "Santa's comin Just(in) Time!"
Also on Twitter, Bieber has revealed that money from the holiday album will go to charity. No word yet on what charity or how much from each unit sold will go towards it.

The work will seek to raise funds for charities, as confirmed by the singer.The phenomenon of young Justin Bieber is preparing to release a new album, unlike his earlier works. This is a disc with music centered on Christmas, whose proceeds go to charity.
According to the website E! News, Love the interpreter told me that "I have been in the studio doing something special for Christmas." "We will try to raise a lot of money this year for charity," the young singer.

At present there is no place in the world that people do not recognize Justin Bieber, however, the 17 year old does not want it all his life because, as he said, wishes to have family and return to his native Canada.
"I think it's great to have an apartment here, but you probably want to return to Canada and start a family. Why? I do not know. I'm Canadian, and I want my children to be Canadian as well, "said the singer according to TMZ.

He didn't share whether he will be collaborating with any other artists on his holiday record or when fans can expect it to hit stores. </p><p>Bieber is no stranger to using his musical talents for charitable causes. In 2010, he took part in "We Are the World 25" alongside Miley Cryus, Kanye West and Lil Wayne. Bieber has supported charities like Give Back Hollywood, Jumpstart and Children's Miracle Network in the past, though he did not specify which charity he would be donating the proceeds of his Christmas album to in his tweet. </p><p>The "Baby" crooner isn't the only artist to announce a Christmas album recently. Justin Bieber Crashes Taylor Swift Concert - Cinema Blend

For all the hissing and hubbub that goes on between his fans and seemingly every other 'lay person', Bieber teams up with, parties with, and sings with pretty much anyone who will have him -- which appears to be pretty much everyone. How successful the Canadian singer will be in five years can't be known, but right now he appears to be making the most of every single second of his meteoric rise to fame.<p>Taylor Swift played the Staples Center in Los Angeles last night, which in it of itself is enough to make teenage girls crazy; surprise them with Justin Bieber halfway through the show? It's a miracle there was not a full-scale riot. E! Online has the story on the surprise duet, which had the two teenage hit-makers singing Bieber's "Baby". My guess is that's the only song the two sung together, because at the end of the day it <i>is</i> Swift's show, not Bieber's.</p><p>This marks the second time in recent memory that Swift has made headlines for her great concert performances. The venerable Mack Rawden wrote a story on her take of "Sugar, We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy earlier this month. This concert had her singing Jason Mraz, The Beach Boys, and Gwen Stefani; Swift continues to sell her concerts as one of the best experiences for fans on the market right now. Is the Justin Bieber-Selena Gomez Romance Real or Fake? - Gather Celebs News Channel

Since they're obviously still together, the question now is: Is their romance the real deal or phony baloney? Celebrity watchers who claim their relationship is fake examine their first romantic vacation. Before that, they'd denied all dating rumors. Then suddenly they were snapped kissing in the Carribean. How did the paparazzi find them? And why do their photos look so...well, posed? In the pic of Justin and Selena "canoodling" on a balcony, the shirtless Biebs leans back, clasping his right knee. He turns to kiss Selena presenting a perfect 3/4 facial shot to the camera while simultaneously displaying his abs. Selena leans forward showing her face in perfect profile. Seriously, who kisses in such awkward positions? Even in their famous <em>Vanity Fair Oscar Party</em> pics, Justin gazed at the cameras mid-kiss. And it has often been noted that Selena regularly looks to the camera in their PDA photos.</p><p>Speaking of Selena, the media often mentions her habit of borderline dissing Justin Bieber. Naysayers can't believe Gomez would date a 17-year-old boy, since most 19 year olds prefer guys in their early 20's. Furthermore, Selena has discussed her crushes on Shia Labeouf (eeww), and she has called Cameron Quiseng the "coolest person she ever met." She has also maintained that she will never marry Justin Bieber whom she often calls the "kid." Of course, that kid is also the most famous celebrity on earth, and Gomez is famous for dating other famous guys--Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner. Justin Bieber is her jackpot. Before Jelena, Selena was adequately known. Now she's a mega star. What a difference a "relationship" makes.</p><p>But why would the Biebs fake a romance with Gomez? Surely he's not hurting for dates. Reportedly, that's the problem.</p><p>"Justin's people needed to preserve his good boy image," claims a source. "Imagine if Justin was caught kissing new girls every week! Disaster! So they went to the...most innocent of all the Disney stars -- Selena Gomez."</p><p>That's far-fetched but possible.</p><p>On the other hand, it's argued that Justin and Selena never stroll the red carpet together, which they would surely do if they were acting. They spend quality time together trying to do normal things--like visiting each others' families. And their much-hyped PDA only shows how real their love is. In their infamous Hawaiian make-out photos for example, they are so much in "real love [that]...they don't care that anyone is watching. They are totally into each other. All they want is to spend time together, and if the paparazzi are there they really don't care!"</p><p>So, there you have it. Review: Single #2 - "One Less Lonely Girl"

If any of you are wondering why I'm going song by song at the moment and not reviewing the whole album, it's because these songs were released as singles in the months leading up to the EP release in November 2009.
"One Less Lonely Girl" was first released about a month and a half before the EP came out. Since this was the single that was out there closest to the EP release, it seems to me that this would be the song that people pay attention to and see if this is someone we should keep an eye on. And since there were no other official singles from the EP, this is an important one, just as important as the debut.
In my "One Time" review, I mentioned how a debut song needs to be catchy and sharply grab people's attention. Follow-up singles have challenges as well. Not only do you have to capitalize on the possible success of the debut, but also have to keep that momentum going with the second go around. That second song should be just as good, to put it simply. Or at least good enough and well-received enough to have an impact.
Since Bieber's fan base consists primarily of tween and teen girls, "One Less Lonely Girl" I'm sure succeeded on those fronts that I just mentioned. The achievement of this song lies in the lyrics, what the song is conveying. You have this in the chorus: "I'm comin' for you, one less lonely girl." The words really are directed right at the girls listening to his music. You see, the record company's not dumb; they know what sells. There's other lyrics like "I'm gonna put you first, I'll show you what you're worth" that tell girls that when you're in a relationship, your boyfriend, girlfriend, partner, significant other, whoever it is, should treat you right. When you have a teen heartthrob, in this case Justin Bieber, saying those words, girls will listen. And Justin said at one point that "I think it's really important these girls have something so they can be one less lonely girl." Having someone special in your life versus being all alone. Another message it's sending. But not just having someone in your life. It's having someone in your life that means something, that treats you right, etc.
I keep stressing the importance of having a catchy song. And when it comes to that, I personally think that "One Time" significantly succeeds more on that front than "One Less Lonely Girl." That's not to say the song is bad. But if I had to choose a song (of the two) to put on repeat, it would be "One Time." I just don't think that the melody, the hook, the beat, the tone, everything I mentioned in my updated review on Friday, stands out in the crowd as much. But as I said, there is success to be had from this song. And that is what I've mentioned above with the lyrics and how his fan base can connect to it.
The music video, like the one for his debut, features a girl he likes. In this one, there's a girl doing her laundry at the laundromat and drops a scarf for him, so he can pick it up and talk to her. The rest of the video is about Justin putting up signs and such so she can find him. Is it just me, or is anyone wondering why she would be going to a laundromat by herself as a teen? Are there teens in big cities who do that? I would assume she'd be around the same age as Justin (a teenager). She looks more like a college student to me? Is it just me? Maybe? Oh well...moving on. Anyway, the similarity to his first video I'm sure had that same reaction from girls, that they wish they were in that girl's position where Justin is seeking her out.

The teen power duo have left Philadelphia and are now in New Jersey for the next stop on Gomez' <em>We Own The Nigh</em>t tour.</p><p>Selena Gomez performed at the PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey last night - the show which caused she and boyfriend Bieber to miss the big Kim Kardashian wedding. Just Jared reports that "after finishing up her meet and greets, Selena headed over to a basketball court across from the area and joined boyfriend Justin Bieber in a little two-on-two." Seems as though even scares like the one at the mall in Philly can't stop these two love birds from just being normal teenagers. It's very refreshing to see huge stars like these just being kids. Maybe that's why these two have such a large fan base. They really seem to resonate with the teens out there. No nightclubs for these kids - just good old mall dates and pickup basketball games.</p><p>Justin Bieber is making a second career out of following Gomez on this tour. Even when he's pretended to be heading elsewhere, he's actually on his way to her side. Selena Gomez Rocks Philly; Justin Bieber Visits (Video, Photos!) - TheImproper.com

It was the first time they appeared to be more than friends.</p><p>She was back in Philadelphia Aug. 19 to perform at the <strong>Mann Center for the Performing Arts</strong> as part of her tour.</p><p>"I am so excited to see my incredible fans on tour. We're working a great production, and set lists including some surprise covers. Texas town's 'Justin Bieber Way' street sign recovered from teen thieves - Pocono Record

During her short tenure, she renamed Main Street after the 17-year-old Canadian pop star.</p> <p class="articleGraf">The Justin Bieber Way sign was supposed to remain in place through the weekend, according to The Dallas Morning News, but residents of the town just east of Dallas noticed that it was missing Thursday morning.</p><p class="articleGraf">Caroline's father, Tony Gonzalez, said that he had "never seen her so mad," and the town's real mayor, Darren Rozell, vowed to replace the sign. "We're not going to leave this little girl's summer on a sour note," he added.</p><p class="articleGraf">And although a local business quickly donated a replacement sign, which was put up Thursday night, local cops were determined to find the original green signpost.</p><p class="articleGraf">It was understood that a group of teens accidentally broke the sign after hanging from it, myFOXdfw.com reported, and that cops recovered it late Thursday.</p><p class="articleGraf">"I don't think [the teens] were trying to be malicious. An Updated "One Time" Review
I started off my review saying that debut singles are extremely important, because you want to come out of the gate on a strong enough level to have that traction needed for a chance at longevity. But I wrote that "'One Time' is certainly an adequate enough debut." Adequate is not the word I would use now. I want to retract that statement and replace it with this: "One Time" is a strong debut that is very much catchy.
There are two areas specifically where I want to make this case. The first is here: "Your world is my world / And my fight is your fight / My breath is your breath / And your heart." What I love about this part is how his voice changes key quite a bit. There's this back and forth, normal to higher note, back down and back up again. If all the notes here had been sung in close proximity to each other, it wouldn't have had the same impact.And the other area that stood out to me is part of the chorus: "You're my one love, my one heart / My one life for sure / Let me tell you one time." When I say that the mark of a good song is how catchy it is, I mean it. Because this part of the chorus is solid on that front. For any song, it doesn't necessarily have to do solely with the lyrics themselves, but the melody, the tone, the beat, etc. Justin Bieber is a teenager, and singing words like this are very appealing to his peers (aka his fans). So what I'm saying is that the strength here is the combination of the lyrics and the beat. The two together provide us with a song that succeeds on pretty much all fronts in terms of selling it to the masses.
Also in my initial review, I gave my thoughts on the acoustic version of "One Time," and said I wasn't sure if he had done other acoustic arrangements. Since then, I have done some looking around and discovered his My Worlds Acoustic album. So now, whenever I review a track that is also on that album, I will refrain from reviewing the acoustic version until I get to the point where I will review that album itself.

Thief steals temp mayor's sign renamed for Bieber - Sacramento Bee

The Dallas Morning News (http://dallasne.ws/ox5yvm) reports that by Thursday morning it was missing.</p><p>The street renaming was one of Caroline Gonzalez's first major acts in office.
