JUSTIN BIEBER RAPS AT ISRAEL CONCERT

Pop megastar Justin Bieber is growing up right before our eyes.

First it was the Shawty Mane character. Then the teen heartthrob was seen rocking a red YMCMB shirt complete with the requisite hip hop star uniform of backwards baseball cap, shades and blinged out chain. Now with pop star Biebs seen on film rapping at a concert overseas, is the My World singer going through a rebellious shift in his fast rising career or is he just having a little fun?

Justin Bieber has been overseas in Israel taking in the sights before kicking off his international My World tour. Last night in Tel Aviv, the Canadian crooner added some hip hop flair to his stage act last night and employed one of the year’s biggest hits. Bieber came out on stage to Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now” single and rapped both Breezy’s and Busta Rhymes high energy verses all while carefully censoring his words. Fans on the Web, and most especially on Twitter, poured in with heavy comments on this new addition to the singer’s act.

“I like that kid. I’ve heard him flow a bit before and I personally think he shows potential,” tweeted an approving @beautyjackson. A supportive fan @NewRangee tweeted, “justin bieber needs to start rapping :) ” – but there were some who were less enthused about the pop star’s new lane. “I was okay with him hitting his dougie, but I don’t see it for his rapping,” added @mia_sade. “[B]eiber’s a mini justin timberlake, we’re supposed to think that shit is cute,” said an unimpressed @shinabina.

However, the legion of Bieber fans were mostly excited about the performance and tweeted with delight at the singer’s game attempt to match the hype rhymes of Brown and Bussa Bus. “S–t Justin Bieber rapped the whole Busta Rhymes part of Look at me now! Pretty impressed!” tweeted @Riannaaa_. Super fan @MrsBieberOxo summed up the reaction from Bieber fans succinctly:” OMG Justin Bieber rapping to “Look at me now” I officially died. Is there anything this boy CANT do?!!”

No word from Bieber if he’s going to relax his golden pipes and become a fierce rhyme spitter but the 17-year old has said before that rapping is something he does just for the fun of it

JUSTIN BIEBER PAID $1 MILLION FOR ISRAEL CONCERT ♥

But attendance in Tel Aviv is lower than expected: “They overpaid and did not market it right,” says a promoter.

Justin Bieber fever hit the Holy Land last week as the teen phenomperformed in Tel Aviv for the first time.

According to sources, the 17-year-old was paid $1 million for his April 14 concert at Hayarkon Park, where Madonna had entertained some 56,000 back in 2009. (Says the show’s local producer Gadi Oron: “It is our policy not to talk about financial arrangements we reach with talent we promote.”) And while the frenzy was most certainly felt among Israeli tweens — one girl even came to the concert with a chuppah (the traditional Jewish wedding canopy) in hand — the show wasn’t exactly a sellout.

Local police estimated that 17,000 showed up for the 90-minute performance while event producers had the number at 24,000, well below the 35,000 attendees they had hoped to attract.

“They overpaid and did not market it right,” says Israeli promoter Shuki Weiss, who declined to bid on Bieber believing it would be a difficult sell. “I think it’s important for every artist to come to Israel, but you need to know your crowd.”

Indeed, posters advertising the show were scant in the city, with the exception of areas surrounding Bieber’s hotel, and with ticket sales initially sluggish, a promotion offering free entry to parents was introduced, causing its share of headaches at the park’s gates.

But Weiss, who has brought over acts such as Linkin Park, Ozzy Osbourneand Missy Elliott, adds that the high price tag is not unusual. Pink Floyd’sRoger Waters, who performed in the Jewish-Arab cooperative village Neve Shalom (“Oasis of Peace”) in 2006, pocketed almost $2.5 million from that gig. And there’s the matter of the many cancellations Israelis have had to contend with in recent years. Elvis Costello and the Pixies are just two acts who have called off confirmed shows days before they were to take the stage, each citing political reasons. It’s no surprise then that ticket buyers — and, in turn, other artists — might be skittish.

Still, promoter Oron is not complaining, telling THR, “[The sales] definitely met our expectations.” And neither is Bieber, who tweeted after taking his final bow, “AMAZING NIGHT … AMAZING PLACE …AMAZING SHOW!! NEVER GOING TO

FORGET THIS ONE. #BLESSED.”

BIG TIME RUSH WANT BIEBER TRACK ♥

Big Time Rush want to write a track with Justin Bieber.

The ‘Boyfriend’ group have previously performed on the same bill as the teen heartthrob in America and would love the opportunity to cement their friendship in the studio and make a song together.

The boy band’s Carlos Pena Jr. told BANG Showbiz, ‘One of our first shows was with Justin Bieber, and at that point he was very shy.

‘It’s nuts to think about how he’s blown up, but we’d love to write a song with him, he’s very talented, that guy works his butt off, he puts in the work.’

The group – which also includes Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Logan Henderson – are presently in the UK, which has caused a stir with home-grown Boyband JLS, who jokingly warned them to ‘Get off our patch’ by a text message when they appeared on TV show ‘Daybreak’, however Big Time Rush aren’t worried and would like to play on the same bill as their rivals.

Logan said, ‘And JLS we looked up and we heard a bunch of their songs and their harmonies are killer and to me that makes me want to strive and get to that level. Pop music makes the world go round, so the more the merrier. We’d love to do a tour with them or something, that would be really cool.’

Big Time Rush play London’s The O2 shepherd’s Bush Empire tonight and ‘Boyfriend’, featuring Snoop Dogg is out now.

Justin Bieber closes down Wailing Wall in Jerusalem! - Gather Celebs News Channel

<div readability="48.3686067019"> <p>Justin Bieber caused the Wailing Wall to be shut down when he visited it last Friday. April 17: Bieber's Beef - Jerusalem Post

<div id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_article_control_lblArticleBody"><span>Bieber's beef <br /></span>Sir, – The treatment of pop star Justin Bieber by the Israeli photographers and the mishandling of his planned meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu ("Bieber tweets his frustration at paparazzi," April 14) have resulted in yet another hasbara disaster.<p>Bieber spent two days tweeting to 8 million followers – not about the special moments he should have experienced while visiting the Holy Land, but about the constant harassment by the paps.</p><p>In this age of mass social media, when it's difficult to get international pop stars to even set foot in Israel, the authorities must take steps to ensure that visitors with fame and reach are protected and become our ambassadors to their millions of fans.</p><p><span>JONATHAN STEEL </span><br />Modi'in </p>Sir, – Justin Bieber may be popular in the United States and Canada, but&#13; who is he anyway? The so-called professional photographers are quite &#13; unprofessional in my opinion. The trouble can be traced to the &#13; media-manufactured frenzy covering a youngster like Bieber and, sadly, &#13; they have done the same with the likes of Lindsay, Paris and Snookie, &#13; who all belong in the Entertainment Hall of Shame.<p>As for that cancelled meeting with Binyamin Netanyahu, I would think the&#13; prime minister has more important issues! </p><p><span>HERBERT W. STARK </span><br />Massapequa, &#13; New York </p><p><span>Good investment </span><br />Sir, – Regarding "UK student union elects &#13; radical Islamists" (April 14), I think the students who elected the &#13; radicals should be offered free trips for an extended stay in the &#13; Islamic country of their choice.</p><p>Would they then come home to the UK and vote the same way? </p><p><span>HILDA &#13; SCHMERLER </span><br />Petah Tikva </p><p><span>Resonant analogy </span></p><p>Sir, – Eliezer Whartman's letter &#13; "Vocabulary lesson" (April 14) reminded me of an analogy that still &#13; resonates in my brain.</p><p>Comparing the size of Israel with that of the Arab or Muslim domains, if&#13; we envisage them as a football field, Israel could be a matchbox that &#13; lies in the middle.</p><p>Do we really believe that if we accede to the Arabs' demand for half the&#13; matchbox they will let us live in peace? Or will they be emboldened to &#13; take the other half as well? Something to think about.</p><p><span>DOLLY CHINITZ </span><br />Jerusalem </p><p><span>Flags on Pessah </span><br />Sir, – Regarding "UN: PA ready &#13; for statehood, but held back by 'occupation'" (April 13), the United &#13; Nations's main functions appear to be ignoring the slaughter in Darfur &#13; and the plight of women in Saudi Arabia, Libya, Egypt and almost every &#13; part of the Islamic world. The persecution of Baha'is, Kurds and, of &#13; course, Christians in these same lands passes over the heads of this &#13; "assembly of the bizarre."</p><p>Only one nation is carefully examined, dissected, condemned and lied &#13; about by the "Oom- Shmoom," as our first prime minister prophetically &#13; called the world body.</p><p>But what is even more outlandish is that we celebrate our independence &#13; on a day connected to a resolution by this council of hypocrites. The &#13; resolution they endorsed that led to the Jewish nation of Israel was in &#13; fact meant as a death sentence, given the borders we were granted – &#13; borders that in no way were for a nation being restored to its homeland.</p><p>This year, more than ever, we must celebrate the true date of independence for the Jewish people.</p><p>That day is when our eternal Father took us out of slavery in Egypt and led us home to the land He promised our patriarchs.</p><p>Therefore, I urge every Jew to display our flag on the 14th day of &#13; Nisan, the real day we were granted independence as the true sons of &#13; Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.</p><p><span>DAVID STAR</span><br />Ma'aleh Adumim </p><p><span>Better use for rails </span><br />Sir, – Once again there &#13; is a delay in the operation of the the capital's light rail system &#13; ("J'lem light rail passenger trials delayed," News in Brief, April 13). &#13; Eventually, it might be dubbed "Jerusalem's Folly."</p><p>Considering the increasing number of cyclists in the city and the lack &#13; of proper bike lanes, perhaps the railway lanes should be turned over to&#13; the bikers. There are even benches on which to rest along the way! </p><p><span>DIANA SCHIOWITZ </span><br />Jerusalem </p><p><span>Desperate leaders </span><br />Sir, – Despite the recent &#13; escalation in violence, Israel allowed the transfer of 3,656 trucks to &#13; the Gaza Strip with food and medical supplies, and the transfer of an &#13; additional 2,100 truckloads of other goods, including gravel for &#13; construction ("Defense officials predict conflict with Hamas is likely &#13; to escalate," April 12).</p><p>How desperate our "leaders" are for world approval that we even continue&#13; to feed and supply our enemies. (And don't tell me they are innocent &#13; civilians: Those "innocent civilians" celebrated the slaughter of the &#13; Fogel family, the youngest being only three months old. Those &#13; "innocents" voted for Hamas.) The sickness of it all is that the more &#13; concessions we make, the more we are castigated, ridiculed and become – &#13; if we're not already – completely delegitimized.</p><p>And now we have Jewish first grade teacher Ma'ayan Elimelech of the &#13; Arabic-Hebrew bilingual school in Beersheba telling her Jewish and Arab &#13; pupils, who have spent the night in a bomb shelter or sealed room, that &#13; "there are always bad people on both sides and that bad people are bad &#13; people" ("School of hard knocks," Comment &amp; Features, April 12).</p><p>The insinuation, of course, is that Israelis are also bad, even though &#13; we know our attacks come only in response to attacks by terrorists. Is &#13; this the teaching we want for our Jewish children? </p><p><span>YENTEL JACOBS </span><br />Netanya&#13; </p><p><span>She's nice, huh?</span> <br />Sir, – After reading Shmuley Boteach's defense of &#13; President Obama's adviser ("A frank discussion with Samantha Power," No &#13; Holds Barred, April 12), I went to the Internet to see the entire &#13; threeminute clip of that controversial interview.</p><p>Unfortunately, Boteach's contention that Power was dismissed as an enemy&#13; of Israel based on a "fragment" of a single interview does not hold up.&#13; He forgets to mention Power's suggestion that the billions in aid to &#13; Israel might be put to better use in building a Palestinian state. This &#13; hardly sounds like a friend of Israel.</p><p>The fact that Power was personable and accessible to Boteach does not detract from the fact that she is a danger to Israel.</p><p><span>SHELLY WEINREB </span><br />Ra'anana </p><p><span>Fusion is the way</span> <br />Sir, – The disasters in &#13; Japanese nuclear reactors have, rightly so, given this form of energy &#13; production a bad name. But controlled nuclear energy comes in two forms:&#13; nuclear fission, as with the present reactors, and nuclear fusion, the &#13; very process that formed all 92 elements from which our world is &#13; composed.</p><p>Fission inherently holds a potential danger due to the vast hordes of &#13; radioactive atoms produced as by-products. But the fusion of hydrogen &#13; nuclei to form helium entails no such danger. The byproduct is helium, &#13; inert and stable.</p><p>The science of the fusion process is totally known. It powers our sun.</p><p>The technology to attain the necessary high pressures and temperatures &#13; has yet to be acquired and so requires further research and development,&#13; but this is no more daunting than what was faced when controlled &#13; nuclear energy was first attained.</p><p>Nuclear fusion is literally nature's choice for long-term energy production.</p><p>Humankind would do well to take this lesson from nature and learn to apply it.</p><p><span>GERALD SCHROEDER </span><br />Jerusalem <br /><span>The writer is a physicist and has witnessed &#13; nuclear detonations. I changed my mind about Justin Bieber - Inquirer.net

<div readability="168"> <p><strong>How I turned from skeptic to fan in 20 steps</strong><br />I TURNED from skeptic to fan in 20 steps. When Justin Bieber says "Never say never," you better believe him. Because this could happen to you, too.</p><p><strong>STEP 1:</strong></p><p>Let the realization hit you after an evening spent watching YouTube videos of Maria Aragon and Heather Russell:</p><p>You never gave Justin Bieber a chance.</p><p>Maria and Heather both got your attention on YouTube, the same platform that launched Justin's career. But you've never seen the amateur videos of Justin. You've only seen him post-discovery, post-Scooter Braun, post-record deal, post-Usher—shiny hair, big smile and crazy confidence—and you dismissed him as the product of marketing geniuses, as a kid posing as a pop star, all spin and no substance.</p><p>And now you realize you might be wrong.</p><p><strong>STEP 2:</strong></p><p>Log on to YouTube, search for "Justin Bieber old video" and start clicking.</p><p>Watch a younger Justin sitting outside, playing the guitar, singing a gospel song. Watch 12-year-old Justin playing the guitar and singing Edwin McCain's "I'll Be." Watch Justin with a black cap on his head, playing the guitar and singing Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River." Watch tiny Bieber playing the drums. Watch Justin playing the keyboards. See Justin's silhouette singing "So Sick" by Ne-Yo. See clearer videos of Justin singing "Fallin'" by Alicia Keys and "Respect" by Aretha Franklin. Watch Justin sitting on a couch singing Chris Brown's "With You." Check out Bart Simpson on the poster on the wall behind Justin and realize that even Bart can't distract you from the truth—Justin Bieber can sing.</p><p>The kid is talented—just a handful grainy videos were enough to tell you that. But why didn't you see it before?</p><p><strong>STEP 3:</strong></p><p>Read this comment on one of Justin's videos:</p><p>Guests123: "It's funny because I bet if he wasn't famous and all he did was make vids on YouTube no one would be saying, 'He is a no talent hack' or 'He is a girl who needs to die' or even 'He can't sing.' If Justin Bieber didn't become famous, everyone would be saying, 'WOW WHAT AN AMAZING VOICE WHY HAS NO ONE DISCOVERED YOU YET?!?!?!' It's funny isn't it? It also makes me sick that this is how people think."</p><p>Find yourself nodding along so enthusiastically that you can pass for a bobblehead.</p><p><strong>STEP 4:</strong></p><p>Feel ashamed for the time wasted picking on Justin, making him the punch line, and waving him off as something only pre-pubescent girls can understand. You're not a pre-pubescent girl but you kind of understand now.</p><p><strong>STEP 5:</strong></p><p>When word leaks about the evening you spent doing nothing but watching one Justin Bieber video after another, defend yourself. "No, I'm not turning into a fan!"</p><p><strong>STEP 6:</strong></p><p>Accept that you're an adult and that you need to make informed choices. How did you realize you hated pickles? Because you put one of those nasty things in your mouth. How did you realize you love century eggs? Because you put one of those nasty things in your mouth. How can you be sure you hate Justin Bieber's music if you haven't actually listened to it? Being forced by little kids to dance to "Baby" at a 60-year-old's birthday does not count as listening. And hating for the sake of hating is not cute, it's stupid.</p><p><strong>STEP 7:</strong></p><p>Listen to Justin's first album "My World" and realize with a mixture of horror and relief that he sounds younger than your youngest cousin. Okay, tell yourself, I'm really not his target audience. Okay, I'm off the hook. Breathe a huge sigh of relief.</p><p><strong>STEP 8:</strong></p><p>Listen to Justin's second album "My World 2.0." Find your feet involuntarily moving to Somebody To Love. Find your head moving in time with U Smile. Shout out excitedly, "Oh my god, Eenie Meenie is Justin's?! I like this song!" Realize that you now sound like a pre-pubescent girl. So much for not being Justin's target audience.</p><p><strong>STEP 9:</strong></p><p>Ignore friends who make fun of you for having Justin's songs in your iPod. Thirty is not too old to be listening to his songs.</p><p><strong>STEP 10:</strong></p><p>Ignore friends who speculate about you watching "Never Say Never." Duh. Of course you're watching.</p><p><strong>STEP 11:</strong></p><p>Sit in the dark theater with your big bucket of popcorn and watch "Never Say Never." A few minutes into the film, tell the person beside you, "I'm getting goosebumps." Ignore her when she says, "Malamig lang."</p><p><strong>STEP 12:</strong></p><p>Watch "Never Say Never" in its entirety and feel blown away by Justin's incredible story. Find yourself moved to tears. Find yourself wanting to give Justin's grandpa a hug. Find yourself loving "Never Say Never" so much that you tell everyone on Facebook how much you loved it. Realize with glee that there are Bieber fans on your feed and—here's the best part—they're your age.</p><p><strong>STEP 13:</strong></p><p>Read Marc Shapiro's "Justin Bieber: The Fever!" Read "Superstars! Justin Bieber." Let the experience remind you of those days many years ago when you considered BOP and Teen Beat pinups gold.</p><p><strong>STEP 14:</strong></p><p>Go back to the cinemas to watch "Never Say Never" again. Bring friends who swore they'd never become fans. Resist the urge to cackle when they walk out of the theater a little dazed and hit with Bieber Fever.</p><p><strong>STEP 15:</strong></p><p>Spew Justin Bieber trivia and tell everyone you know to watch "Never Say Never." Ignore the strange looks and expressions of disbelief you get. Make arguments so convincing any lawyer would be proud. Leave people with no choice but to promise you they'd watch the movie.</p><p><strong>STEP 16:</strong></p><p>Notice that you automatically start with "Down To Earth" when listening to Justin's songs. You actually have a favorite Bieber song and you're not ashamed to admit it.</p><p><strong>STEP 17:</strong></p><p>Read "First Step 2 Forever," enjoy it immensely and finally let it sink that the impossible had happened. You, who worshipped Alanis and flew for Rachael Yamagata, who abandoned boy bands after New Kids On The Block, who've managed to resist the charms of Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and just about any other teenybopper sensation the world has managed to produce, have really and truly become a Justin Bieber fan.</p><p><strong>STEP 18:</strong></p><p>Accept that there is nothing wrong with being a Justin Bieber fan. That there is nothing to be ashamed of. What is wrong with liking a talented kid who works hard, loves his fans and his family, gives back to the world and stays grounded? What is there to hate about someone who inspires people to pursue their passions and fight for their dreams?</p><p><strong>STEP 19:</strong></p><p>Resist the urge to argue with Bieber haters. Justin Bieber Talks Career Change ♥

Justin Bieber is always attempting to make his fans laugh as the prankster that he is. Remember on April Fool’s Day when he tweeted that he was canceling his My World Tour? We don’t think many of his fans thought that was very funny when they didn’t know he was joking.
Just short of an hour ago, Justin Bieber sent out this tweet:

Of course another joke, but if you watch the video of Justin Bieber playing America’s version of soccer, he is extremely talented. Is there anything this musical sensational superstar cannot do?

It seems that no matter what, Bieber never ceases to continue to amaze his fans. We always look forward to what joke he is going to tell next and what he’s going to come up with next.
One thing that we know is for sure; however, is that Justin Bieber lives for his music and for his fans. And that… you can take to the bank… We know he does…

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Romeo Has A Surprise For All You Beliebers! ♥

Justin Bieber fans better vote for Romeo on DWTS, because he says if he makes it to the finale he has a big surprise planned involving Justin!

Beliebers get your phones ready! Dancing with the Stars contestant Romeo Miller says he has a surprise planned with teen sensation Justin Bieber if he makes it to the finale!

“All the Justin Bieber fans, y’all can vote for me as well. If you all keep voting for me I’ll have a surprise, something with Justin. I can’t really tell but if I make it to the finale, it’ll be a great surprise for Bieber fans,” revealed Romeo in an exclusive interview with HollywoodLife.com.

Romeo played celebrity basketball with Bieber a few months ago, and we can’t wait to see what the 21-year-old rapper has planned with his all-star teammate! Romeo talked about how the season would go if Justin were on Dancing with the Stars.

“If Justin Bieber was on DWTS everybody else might as well just quit. He wouldn’t have a problem with the fan votes. Plus I think Bieber has a heads up because he already likes dancing and already has some dance moves!” said Romeo.

Still, the singer/actor wants to point out that a background in dance doesn’t necessarily make ballroom easier. “It’s actually a challenge, it’s not as easy as it looks,” confesses Romeo. “I’ve had friends come by my rehearsals, friends who are dancers, and they try to do the moves with me and it’s a different process. A hard process. Ballroom dancing is a whole other thing.”

Will you tune in to watch Dancing with the Stars and vote for Romeo to go to the finale? Tell us what you think Beliebers! And check back in with us on Monday for exclusive footage of Romeo rehearsing and more from our interview with the charming rapper!
