Justin Bieber Back To Performing After Illness

55864476681855978014.jpg

Justin Bieber may have canceled his show Sunday night after being struck down by an illness, but he's bounced back and is ready to headline a show in New York. The VMA-nominated teen star tweeted that he has been cleared by his doctors to perform on Tuesday night (August 31) at Madison Square Garden, where he will film part of his upcoming 3-D movie.

"Ok the doctor said we aren't 100 percent but we are ready to ROcK!! Been cleared. MSG let's do this!!!" he tweeted on Monday. "Let's fill the streets of NYC! Rehearsals tonight were incredible...got off to a rocky start because wasnt feeling right but then after lunch kicked in. 2morrow at MSG!! Thanks to everyone who came to help today...this movie is coming together."

Fans in attendance on Tuesday will get the chance to be a part of his 3-D movie, which made Bieber seem genuinely excited. "2morrow let's fill the streets of NYC with Purple and even if you dont have tix we will b celebratin n maybe u might just find ur way inside," he wrote. "Tomorrow is a celebration....we are living a dream and playing MADISON SQUARE GARDEN in NYC!! WHO IS COMING!!?!?!? SEE U THERE!!!!!"

Rumors have been circulating for weeks that other celebrities will make cameos at the show, and among the big names in the rumor mill is "Never Say Never" guest Jaden Smith. "Special security arrangements are being made for Jaden, who will appear onstage, and his family, including [his father] Will, to be in the audience for the concert," a source told the New York Post.

Earlier this month, the film's director, Jon Chu, spoke to MTV News about the flick. "[It's] a movie for his fans, a movie for people who don't know him, and we're gonna tell the underdog story of where he came from," he explained.

"Because it's a really fascinating story and it has a lot to do with our sort of digital lifestyle now. He was able to do what corporations try to do now when they use YouTube and they don't even know what to do with it yet. It's a pretty cool story for our time."

Good news for Justin Bieber fans: Despite being very ill, the tiny teen idol has decided to push on and perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday night.

The 16-year-old pop sensation was forced to cancel a show on Sunday night in Syracuse, NY after he became sick with an unspecified illness. Justin tweeted that night to fans:

Kanye West, Justin Bieber Fans Split On 'Runaway Love' Remix

74536644900340794103.jpg

Kanye West forced fanbases to collide on Monday, when he released his Justin Bieber "Runaway Love" remix, which also features Raekwon.

What began as a mere social-networking brainstorm both utilizes the contemporary pop-chart topping talents of both West and the Biebs and incorporates some of Raekwon's vintage verses from "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing Ta F--- Wit." So how do loyal fans react when a teen pop sensation, a master producer-turned-rapper and a hip-hop legend combine forces?

For the answers, we've looked across different blogs and MTVNews.com to see fan comments and reactions to the new record. While the remix seemed acceptable to most listeners, others thought the blend of Bieber with the two MCs went together like oil and water.

McShanful wrote on the hip-hop blog 2dopeboyz.com: "I thought this turned out pretty dope. But judging by the comments, this remix is a fail because Wu-Tang fans don't want to hear JB on a classic beat. And JB fans don't know or even care who Raekwon is, nor do they appreciate this classic beat. Nice try, 'Ye."

Readers on both pop and hip-hop websites couldn't see the benefit of including Bieber's song in the collaboration, stating that the current prince of bubblegum pop discredited the rappers' integrity.

"I'm a hard-core fan of Kanye's earlier music, but now I honestly think he will do anything if it gives him some fraction of publicity or money," Leni wrote on JustJared.com. "Justin Bieber? I mean really?"

Legacye wrote on on PerezHilton.com: "Oh ... dear ... lord. That was awful. Kanye's part of the track sounded fine, but Justin's music is just TOO tweeny-pop to fit in well with adult R and B. 1/5 from me."

And though Bieber's collaboration with Ludacris on "Baby" has been a huge hit with his followers, some were less than pleased by this much this harder-edged track.

"OMG !! That is just horrible," KT wrote on on Popeater.com. "Justin is the only good thing on the song, but you have to sit thru that no talent thug mumbling and talking his way thru the verses before Justin sprinkles his magic on the song. PLEASE Justin don't team up with these no talent thug rappers because your management says so. All it shows is how much talent you have and how little talent the rappers have. No wonder they all want a piece of Justin's genius. YAYYY JUSTIN!!"

But other fans were supportive of the boundary-breaking trio.

"The song actually wasn't that bad, and as much as I hate to say it, Bieber sounded a little like Michael Jackson," Ericarbo436 wrote on MTVNews.com.

"A young youth, rockin' the gold tooth!" Börte Petrarchia wrote on PerezHilton.com. "What a great collaboration that was. I think some were uneasy about it when they first heard, but I wasn't. F--- this elitist bullsh-- about who should work with who in music. It's all about creating wonderful tracks, and this is fantastic. Kanye's back, better than ever, so I'm happy."

Rwar wrote on 2dopeboyz.com: "So good I had to post twice. Can we collectively acknowledge how important Kanye West is to music? Who else could make this happen?"

What do you think of the "Runaway Love" remix? Keep the conversation going in the comments below!

Justin Bieber is Getting Sued by Disney for $150 Million for Using “JB” Initials (rumor)

Latest rumor says that Justin Bieber is being sued for $150 millions for stealing “JB” initials from the Jonas Brothers, because “JB” is copyrighted to the Jobros.

Omg.. beliebers, this rumor isn’t true.

It’s kinda ridiculous, because Justin Bieber was the one who BORN with the initials “JB” & Jonas Brothers is just the band initials. They were born with the initials NJ, JJ, and KJ. So Justin’s just being sued for having the initials JB?

Disney can’t sue him because of his name. If they were suing him because of that, then good luck in court. But, I heard it was because of how Bieber used their logo such as the JB logo in T-shirt, Logo in 3-D Concert Experience movie, books and other merchandise, which I doubt is any true.

Plus, Disney can’t sue Justin bieber, cause the logo that is by the Jonas Brothers is owned by the Jonas Enterprises, not Disney.

Bieber’s Twitter Tribute To Jackson

JUSTIN BIEBER may be confined to bed but he wasn’t going to forget the birthday of his hero MICHAEL JACKSON.

The pop superstar would have celebrated his 52nd birthday yesterday and the teenager, who canceled a concert in Syracuse last night after revealing he was “supersick”, went on Twitter to pay tribute.

He Tweeted: “Happy Birthday to the best that ever did it….the greatest entertainer of all time…and my hero and inspiration. HappyBdayMJ RIP.”

Minutes earlier he thanked fans for their good wishes and revealed he had been visited by a doctor.

He said: “really dont know what to twitter…im getting rest right now and trying to recover from the not so good news from the doctor.”

After complaining, “this really sucks,” he added, “but today isnt about me it is about my hero,” before posting his tribute.

In another message he wrote: “thank u 4 giving me and so many others inspiration and dreams. Ur the greatest that ever did it and ever will do it. Ur my hero.”

Demi Lovato Says Frankie Jonas Has ‘Swag Like Justin Bieber’

When fans tune in to “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” this Friday, they may be surprised to see that the fourth Jonas brother, 9-year-old Frankie, has a part in the sequel to the hit 2008 flick “Camp Rock.” And co-star Demi Lovato says that the kid has some swagger.

“He’s the biggest rock star of all of them,” she told MTV News. “He’s got swag like Justin Bieber and he rocks out like Mick Jagger, so he’s kind of a combination of the two. He’s kind of like the ultimate rock star. Watch out, Justin Timberlake!”

While he may be as cool as Bieber, the Bonus Jonas says that of all his brothers, he most relates to Joe. “We never bully. We never even fight. We just have little bickers,” he said. “I’m most like Joe because I’ve been a role model with him ever since we lived in Wyckoff, New Jersey.”

And much like Joe, Frankie would love a career in Hollywood. “I would like to pursue my acting career and do a little music in the middle,” he explained. Having now starred in “Camp Rock 2,” lent his voice to “Ponyo” and made appearances on “JONAS,” it seems Frankie is well on his way to catching up with his brothers in the fame department.

However, he still needs some encouraging words from his superstar brothers to keep him focused on his way to the top. “I’m feeling great because it’s awesome [to be here]. It’s my first live action [film] and to have my brothers with me is way more exciting because they make you feel more comfortable,” he explained, adding that they’ve given him some great advice.

“They’ve given me a great one that my dad gave to them and they passed on to me during the filming of ‘Camp Rock.’ It says, ‘Live like you’re at the bottom, even if you’re at the top,’ ” he explained. “Remember where you came from.”

Justin Bieber , Miley Cyrus "grease" remake?

Justin Bieber believes he’s the ideal person to fill John Travolta’s shoes and take on the role of Danny in a remake of the 1978 movie musical Grease. Justin said: ‘It would be a lot of fun. It’s been talked about a lot over the years but it would be awesome to play Danny.” In fact, he’s already got an idea of who he wants to star as Danny’s Aussie love interest, Sandy — a role originated by singer/actress Olivia Newton-John.

“If I had to pick my perfect Sandy I would go for Miley Cyrus without hesitation. She can sing, dance and act,” the “Somebody To Love” idol, 16, tells London’s The Sun.

Justin also wants some more of his favorite ladies to join the cast of his fantasy movie.

“I would really want some great people to star in it. Wouldn’t Susan Boyle make an amazing Principal McGee? We’d just need to write it into the script that she broke into song. I am obsessed with Susan Boyle. When I look at her original audition it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.”

“I would love to include Cheryl Cole in the movie as well if she was up for it. She would look great in the Rydell High cheerleading uniform.” Justin is also rumored to be in talks to remake Back To The Future!

Justin as X-FACTOR judge ?!!

Justin Bieber wants to be a judge on the American version of The X Factor.
The teen singer says he’s desperate to work alongside millionaire music mogul Simon Cowell.
“I think Simon Cowell is great.” Bieber said.
“The X Factor is coming to the US and I would love to do a guest judging slot. But some people might not like getting advice from a guy my age.”
Bieber, 16, recently revealed that he has a crush on Harry Potter actress Emma Watson.
“I would love to take her out for dinner. It would be great if she could come to one of my concerts, then we could hang out afterward,” he said.
“I love the fact she is one of the biggest female movie stars, but has chosen to go back to college. It shows she is really grounded and normal.”

Justin Bieber Invites Fans to Join His 3-D Movie

Justin Bieber has made another sensation again. The young singer, who is planning a biopic, has invited fans to join him in the movie. Making the announcement are Jon Chu, who has been tapped to serve as director, and the Canadian boy himself.

Those who want to be a part of the untitled Justin Bieber biopic are asked to submit a home video of themselves singing along to Bieber's "That Should Be Me" or they should "Show us how 'U Smile' " by sending in a photo or video. The video or photo should be submitted to bieberfever.com/movie.

Bieber's fans have apparently shown great enthusiasm as few hours after the announcement was made the movie's site was overloaded. "sorry u guys crashed the server!! haha. It's back up now!! Get in MY MOVIE!!! U got less than 24 hours!!" the "Baby" hitmaker later updated his Twitter account.

Recently, Jon Chu who also directed "Step Up 3-D", has described how the upcoming Justin Bieber movie will be. "[It's] a movie for his fans, a movie for people who don't know him, and we're gonna tell the underdog story of where he came from. There's not going to be acted-out scenes and I can't talk about the rest. It's not your typical concert film and it's not going to be a biopic ... but it is about his life. I think it's more of a documentary. We're going to figure it out as we go," he explained.

The film will be presented in 3-D and is slated to come out in the U.S. on Valentine's Day weekend, February 11, 2011 to be exact.

Kim Kardashian says she’d date Justin Bieber ‘if he was of legal age’

Appearing on Lopez Tonight Tuesday, Kim Kardashian dished about her photo shoot co-star Justin Bieber and the Bill O’Reilly criticism it drew.

When asked if she would ever date the pop sensation, Kardashian said according to E! News, “if he was of legal age.” She added, “He definitely has this swag to him."

During an Aug. 21 episode of The O’Reilly Factor, host Bill O’Reilly said he had a problem with Kardashian and Bieber’s Elle photoshoot inspired by The Graduate.

“I don’t care about this Justin Bieber, he looks like Ringo Starr to me. I don’t know the other one, she’s in the water with the dress, what does that mean? I don’t know." He added, “I’ll tell you this. If a 16 year-old girl was pictured with a 29 year-old man in any of that, they’d be in big trouble.”

During the segment O’Reilly speculated that Kardashian was “I guess 42 or something like that.”

Kardashian’s response? "I thought the shoot was all in fun, we had a good time. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on it."

Justin Bieber Cracks Up

Ladies and gentlemen, crushed-out tweens and cyber bullies: Let it be known that the voice of Justin Bieber, he of the carefully coiffed mop-top and lightly soulful, sweet-as-a-juice-box soprano, has finally begun to change. Call it the crack heard around the world, the most scrutinized advent of puberty since Michael Jackson's, perhaps even the cure for Bieber Fever. The boy wonder will soon become a man. (More or less.) And with this momentous pitch-change comes a host of questions about ability and adult careers, of course, but also about the role the voice plays in gender norms.
Justin BieberJustin TimberlakeMichael JacksonCelebrity NewsArts, Entertainment, and Media
Bieber's is a classic coming-of-the-digital-age story, and his YouTube-abetted rising star became an easy target: Facebook groups rallied against him, Twitter rebelled against his trending-topic stranglehold, and a prank Internet campaign was waged to "help" the kid "tour" North Korea. His greatest offenses seem to involve his gender, his sexuality, and his voice—more specifically, the juxtaposition of the three. Even Daniel Radcliffe made news for remarking that he thought Bieber was a woman after hearing him sing.

Forget Bieber Fever—we're talking Bieber Phobia. JB's soprano (and, more recently, high tenor) is not only regarded as peculiar, it's apparently threatening. But why? Falsetto singing has long been part of popular music, from Curtis Mayfield to Cee-Lo, from disco to recent indie rock. That history is contentious, however, and the meaning of a man's upper register changes drastically by genre. Safely bolstered by guitars, for instance, a falsetto-singing rock frontman can come off as coolly secure in his masculinity. In already feminized, dubiously "authentic" genres like dance pop, however, singing "like a girl" in a style that signifies "false" requires some legitimizing legwork. Artists like Justin Timberlake and Usher compensate by closely aligning themselves with hip-hop producers and constructing self-images as ladies' men. But while he's dropped a few hormonal hints, balls-to-the-wall booty jams don't exactly gel with Bieber's boy-next-door image. Physically, nothing about a falsetto is "false": It's simply a register any man could develop if it were given as much attention as the lower timbres we associate with "adult male." Socially speaking, however, vocal timbres are one of the means by which we attempt to neatly divvy up the world into two sexes. The falsetto singer's (feminine) voice seems to belie his (male) body, so his masculinity must be re-established. JB can't accomplish that stylistically: He is not a rock star, and he can't pull off legit soul-singer status, despite the BET Awards nod. But due to both his actual youth and his incredibly childlike appearance, he can't do it sexually either.

In other words, the go-to response to a white boy's dance-pop falsetto is eroticization, but it's just . . . creepy to think dirty thoughts about someone who looks like he's seven. We don't know what to make of the body that goes with the girlish voice, the ambiguous face, and the incredibly youthful boyishness of someone who is almost, but not quite, a man. Do those cooing, cherubic vocals belong to an overgrown boy soprano? A young man singing falsetto? A girl in teen-boy drag? A modern-day castrato?

The flurry of interest in Bieber's vocal puberty, then, is not just about watching a child star try to roll with the big boys, but also about possibly alleviating the aural anxiety over his gender and sexuality. Maybe JB will grow up to be JT, who we are (mostly) comfortable with these days. Far less comfortably, maybe he'll be MJ, his man-child voice frozen in time. Hell, maybe he'll grow up to sound like Barry White. Wouldn't it be interesting, though, if he remained somewhat ambiguous, a compellingly complicated figure, at once alien and appealing? At the very least, Biebs, keep the hair.

Justin Bieber wants on 'The X Factor,' is 'seriously looking' for a girlfriend

Justin Bieber is a relative newcomer to the music world, but he still thinks he has some advice to offer aspiring stars. Are you listening, Simon Cowell?

"I think Simon Cowell is great," Justin says in an interview with The Sun in London, adding that he hopes to work with the ex-"American Idol" judge on his next TV project: "Some people might not like getting advice from a guy my age, but 'The X Factor' is coming to the U.S. and I would love to do a guest judging slot."

The Biebster also shares his thoughts on his ideal woman in the interview. He cites Katy Perry and Cheryl Cole as having a lot of the things he's looking for.

"Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry are two of the hottest girls in the world -- and so normal and funny with it," he says. "If I was a few years older they are the kind of girls I'd like to date. I want a younger version of Cheryl and Katy -- a mixture of the two would be hot.

"Maybe they could coach me and tell me how to work out which ones are the good ones. That would be pretty awesome. I would like to invite the two of them out for dinner so they can tell me the best way to win a woman like them."

We're expecting word from Kim Kardashian's camp any time now, but in the meanwhile Justin says he's "seriously looking" for a girlfriend.

"The problem is when I meet a girl, I don't know if she likes me or if she likes the lifestyle," he tells The Sun. "Also, the really hot girls go around acting like they know they are hot. It's rare to find a girl who is both hot and really cool, but I know they do exist."

Good luck with that, Justin.

Justin Bieber movie lands filmmaking team

Step Up 3D director Jon M. Chu and the Magical Elves producing team of Jane Lipsitz and Dan Cutforth have joined together to direct and produce Justin Bieber’s concert film. The trio will work with Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, Island Def Jam chairman LA Reid and Grammy winning singer Usher to give Bieber fans a behind-the-scenes look into the 16-year old pop star’s life.
In addition to the last two Step Up movies, Chu also directed the Hulu web-series The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. Magical Elves is best known for its successful reality shows. The duo used to produce Project Runway when it aired on Bravo and currently produce Top Chef and Work of Art, among others.
Paramount Pictures will release the Justin Bieber movie on Valentine’s Day weekend 2011.

Justin Bieber Should 'Have Fun' With 3-D Movie, Jonas Brothers Say

Next year, Justin Bieber fans will have the chance to see the singer's story retold on the big screen in a 3-D movie currently in the works. But Bieber won't be the first teen pop star to land in theaters in multiple dimensions.

He joins the likes of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, both of whom have already had their live performances delivered to fans in 3-D. And while a director still needs to be chosen for the flick, the JoBros had some advice for Bieber as he prepares to shoot.

"Have fun. It's a really fun experience," Joe told MTV News last week at their Road Dogs baseball game in Joliet, Illinois, just before the brothers kicked off their tour. "The camera work is all really crazy, but I'm sure he'll handle it all really well."

Since they had so much fun the first time around, does that mean there could be a sequel to the "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience"?

"Maybe," Joe said. "For right now, I think we're just going to be streaming live throughout the summer. We want people to come see the show, but right now we're just really focused on this live show. That's where we're at right now, and we're just getting ready for the first opening night tomorrow night," he told us last Friday.

If the guys ever do decide to make another concert flick, their current tour would be the perfect draw. The JoBros just hit the road for a lengthy tour that features not only pal Demi Lovato, but also a number of their "Camp Rock 2" pals. Plus, there'll be lots of Jonas music.

"We are doing a Jonas Brothers set, and it's actually a lot," Kevin said about the tour, which kicked off in Chicago on Saturday. Kevin teased that fans will be treated to some oldies but goodies.

"We're playing a lot of Jonas Brothers songs, and we're integrating 'Camp Rock' and 'JONAS L.A.' songs [and] songs from our past. We're really excited."

Which songs do you hope the JoBros will include in their set list? Tell us in the comments!

Justin Bieber Has £100m Fortune But Can't Find A Girl

Justin Bieber may be the most famous teenager in the world. He may have £100 million in the bank - but he still struggles to get a date.
Today, in his first ever newspaper interview, the 16-year-old also reveals he HATES school, still gets GROUNDED for bad behaviour and lives off a strict ALLOWANCE of about £30 a day.

The News of the World was given unprecedented access to Justin as he prepared for a concert in Orlando, Florida.

And he told us candidly: "I'm single but that's not a choice. I want to find a girl. "But I'm not going to date someone who's just going to like me for my fame.

"It's going to be really hard to find a girl who likes me for me."
And that's not all that's really hard. We can reveal his life on the road is ruled by four strictly enforced golden rules:
1. Have eight hours' SLEEP every night.
2. STUDY four hours a day in term time.
3. Get good school grades or the show gets CANCELLED.
4. Be polite to staff - or have his computer and his mobile phone CONFISCATED.

Manager Scooter Braun explained: "We have these rules to keep him in line. We treat him like any other teenager. "It means he doesn't throw any diva strops."

The baby-faced star has an equally tough time in his lovelife - though that's hard to believe during our interview at the giant Amway Arena in Orlando. Justin wasn't due on stage for hours and already 5,000 screaming girls were waiting outside.
Bieber Fever - which sees fans sobbing and even fainting at the sight of the 5ft 2in star - is already being compared to Beatlemania.
But Canadian-born Justin reckons it was easier for him to find girlfriends BEFORE he became the world's most popular young star last year.

Recalling his first kiss, he said: "It was at a school dance. I made a bet with my friends - first person to get a kiss gets ten dollars. So I slow danced with this girl and then just went in. Back then I was just a regular hockey-playing kid, so I was lucky she kissed me back!"

Finding a girlfriend is currently his main priority. So would he date a fan? "It just depends, I guess I would yeah," he says. "Girls that I've dated have liked my music. But you see a lot of celebrities dating other celebrities. They get what you're going through.

"But I would definitely date someone who wasn't famous. You've just got to find the right one. And when I find one I'm going to date her of course. But it is hard because I'm travelling."
But he's certain he hasn't been in love yet. "It's kinda like puppy love. It's not the real thing," he said. Wannabe girlfriends should watch out though, because when Justin admitted he fancied pal Kim Kardashian she received threats from his diehard fans.

So Cheryl Cole might want to beef up her security - because Justin's smitten with the Girls Aloud star too. "I met her in London," he said excitedly, his eyes lighting up. "She's my type. She's really hot. If I were older we would date. I'm just too young. It sucks."
Justin has scores of celebrity fans too. Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher recently introduced her teenage daughter to him. Teri giggled: "I scored some big points. I told her, 'That's it, nothing else until your wedding. There's nothing between Justin Bieber and after college'." As you'd expect, Justin, who goes on a worldwide tour next year, has everything a teenage boy could wish for - and that estimated fortune of £100 million.

But his single mum Pattie Mallette and manager Scooter, 28, make sure he isn't spoilt. Reflecting on his millions, Justin said: "My mom wants me to learn how to be very smart with my money."
So much so that she gives him pocket money of just $50 (£31) a day. Justin said: "If I save that for a week then I have a couple of hundred bucks that I can spend on something special." Justin also has weekly meetings with his business manager. Scooter explained: "We're trying to teach him the value of a dollar."

They are equally as tough on him about his manners so he doesn't follow the example of teen hellraisers such as Lindsay Lohan. He follows the four key rules and tries hard at "school" - four hours a day of private tutoring. But he sighs: "I don't really like school."
Scooter added: "I view my job as being a father or an uncle as well as a manager. Even if he apologises after doing something wrong, he doesn't automatically get his phones back."

His mum goes with him on tour and when she can't be there his dad Jeremy, who he is still close to, steps in. Justin's rise to fame is extraordinary considering his tough start in life. Pattie was just 18 when he was born and worked a series of low-paying office jobs to make ends meet. Justin taught himself to play piano, drums and the trumpet, and entered singing contests in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario.

Scooter discovered Justin after seeing homemade videos of him singing on YouTube when he was 13. He showed Usher and Justin Timberlake, and after a fierce bidding war - which Usher won - the Biebers moved to Atlanta and began the lad's transformation into a teen idol.

His debut album My World 2.0 topped the US Billboard charts making Justin the youngest male star to do so since Stevie Wonder in 1963. Justin has gone on to perform for US President Barack Obama and wants to emulate the career of King of Pop Michael Jackson. "I loved him," Justin smiled. "I want to be as successful."

It seems he is already on his way. Justin's music video Baby is the most viewed YouTube clip in history and 4.2million people follow him on site Twitter.

His camp was plunged into crisis this week when Justin lost his voice. They brought in world-renowned vocal coach Jan Smith who put it down to his voice breaking. But Justin later assured me: "It's because I was yelling and being a teenager."

His story is remarkable considering 18 months ago he was skint, but Justin is now one of the world's hottest - and richest - youngsters.
Scooter said: "It's a dream come true for Justin. His life will never be the same again."

Justin Bieber wishes Katy Perry good luck for Teen Choice Awards

Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber will have a role at the 2010 Teen Choice Awardstaping Sunday, even if he isn't even there to present or pick up one of the famous surfboard trophies.
Then again, Justin doesn't need to, as Shaquille O'Neal recently announced Justin's four victories at one of his concert events in Arizona. Bieber won't be in attendance due to his concert obligations around the country, but that isn't stopping him from wishing host Katy Perry good luck. Justin posted the following on his Twitter account Sunday:
"have fun 2nite @katyperry ....I know u will kick some arse hosting at the TCA's - that is how ur british man says it right? arse. good luck"

Best Buy, Grammy Foundation and Justin Bieber Partner to Provide Concert to Band Camp Students at Orlando, Florida High School

Best Buy Mobile, the mobile specialty retail unit of Best Buy Co., announced it has partnered with the Grammy Foundation to surprise a group of Seminole High School summer band camp students with a special appearance from Island Def Jam Records pop/R&B singer Justin Bieber.
In celebration of Best Buy Mobile's milestone 100th store opening at nearby Seminole Towne Center Mall, Bieber surprised students when he appeared during an assembly in Sanford, Florida. Bieber's appearance included a special presentation of a $5,000 donation on behalf of Best Buy and the Grammy Foundation to Seminole High School in support of the school's music program.
The program expands on the Grammy Foundation's support of music education by leveraging Best Buy's philanthropic @15 platform and Best Buy Mobile resources. Through these efforts, the Best Buy Children's Foundation has pledged nearly $1 million in funds and in-kind services to at-risk music education programs in schools across the country.
"The students had no idea I was coming and it was fun to completely surprise them," said Justin Bieber. "I was excited about this opportunity to team up with Best Buy and the Grammy Foundation to raise awareness around the cause of funding music education programs in schools. I talked to students about pursuing their passion in music and encouraging them to keep doing what they're doing."
Bieber talked to the kids about the role music played in his life. The assembly also featured appearances by Best Buy Mobile President Shawn Score and Senior Executive Director of The Recording Academy, Florida Chapter, Neil Crilly on behalf of the Grammy Foundation. The $5,000 donation to Seminole High School will help fund its music education program.
The performance is a part of a week-long celebration for Best Buy Mobile in the Orlando area. Best Buy presented a $2,000 donation to a local charity in the Sanford area at the 100th store opening on August 4.

Justin Bieber ‘Can’t Get A Date’

Justin Bieber has admitted he hates being single but said he has a hard time meeting potential dates.
In a new interview, the 16-year-old revealed: "I'm single but that's not a choice. I want to find a girl… It's going to be really hard to find a girl who likes me for me."
As for his ideal woman, the Baby singer admitted he fancies Cheryl Cole. "I met her in London," he said. "She's my type. She's really hot. If I were older we would date. I'm just too young. It sucks."
"You see a lot of celebrities dating other celebrities," Justin added. "They get what you're going through."
In other Bieber news, the star took time out of his schedule this week to make a surprise appearance at a Florida high school.
The students knew a special guest was coming to present the school with a $5,000 donation from the Grammy Foundation, had no idea it would be Justin. According to reports, he gave tips to teenagers about having a career in music, and played on instruments that were set up for a summer band camp.
The Somebody To Love singer said: "The students had no idea I was coming, and it was fun to completely surprise them… I talked to students about pursuing their passion in music and encouraging them to keep doing what they're doing."
This week Justin confirmed his next single will be U Smile.

Justin Bieber Lines Up 'U Smile' As New Single

Justin Bieber is about to give his legion of devoted fans another reason to smile. The pop star says that the third single from his My World 2.0 will be the breezy "U Smile," a song that was originally slated for release earlier this year.
"It's OFFICIAL- 'U SMILE' is gonna be the New Single!! The song is dedicated to the fans so this one is for all of u!! Radio here we come!!" Bieber tweeted on Friday afternoon (August 6).
"U Smile," which has a retro Motown vibe, features the singer expressing his devotion to his sweetheart. " 'Cause my cards are on the table/ And I'm willing and I'm able/ But I fold to your wish/ Cause it's my command," he croons during the song's bridge.
The midtempo number was originally supposed to be released back in March but for some reason was held back by the release of the dance cut "Somebody to Love." Bieber had already started promotion for the song, even treating national television audiences to live performances of the trackon "American Idol" and "Saturday Night Live."
But if history repeats itself, there's a strong possibility that "U Smile" will earn the 16-year-old yet another hit. When the song was first digitally released on iTunes this past spring, it moved quickly up the chart.
The singer took to Twitter at the time to thank fans for the speedy accomplishment: "wrote this song for u guys, and now u are all helping it climb the TOP TEN of ITUNES... U SMILE is #10 already! thank u so much. Lets go #1!" he tweeted.
The Biebster spoke to MTV News in March about working on the track alongside songwriters Jerry Duplessis, Arden Altino and Dan August Rig. "I worked with August. I got him. He's a really good writer," the singer said of his collaborator. "The song is amazing. We really love the song, so we decided to cut it. It's really amazing."

12 things you may not know about Justin Bieber

Even by teen-sensation standards, it has been a big week for Justin Bieber.
The Canadian pop singer announced Monday that he will star as himself in a 3D biopic to be released in time for next Valentine's Day.
And he says he's also at work on a memoir, due in October. The book is titled Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story. A comic book about the 16-year-old singer also comes out in October.
On Twitter, Bieber called the movie project "incredible news." The movie, as yet untitled, will include footage of his current tour, which swings into Scotiabank Place on Aug. 24. Davis Guggenheim, who won an Oscar for helming An Inconvenient Truth, is in negotiations to direct.
How hot is Bieber? New York magazine, which usually skips teen sensations, profiles him in its current issue.
Here are 12 things we learned from the feature, written by Alex Morris.
1. Justin's "swagger coach" says yes to maroon high-tops
Before each performance, Justin tries on different outfits and e-mails the photos to Ryan Good, his stylist (a.k.a. "swagger coach"). For one New York appearance, Good gave his approval to black jeans, a black T-shirt, a white vest, and maroon high-tops. Justin also wore a $7,500 necklace by the jeweller David Yurman.
2. The Double Point is good, but no match for The Baby Crotch Grab
In a sidebar, New York also details Justin's best dance moves. For The Baby Crotch Grab, Justin squeezes his inner thigh. Somewhere, Michael Jackson is smiling.
3. Snort like a horse, meow like a kitten, squeeze like a Baby Crotch Grab
For his vocal warm-ups, Justin makes various noises as piano scales rise and fall in the background. "He snorts like a horse along the scales. Then he meows like a kitten."
4. Bieber is Bambi
"Bieber is adorable in the tawny, guileless way of a small woodland creature," Morris writes. "His eyes are moist and fawnlike, his lips a blend of pout and puck. His downy cheeks seem never to have been affronted by anything as indelicate as a razor."
5. Mom to Justin: 'It's 10 p.m. You're not going bowling. You're 16.'
Sure, he's a megastar. But like any teenager, his mom has the final word. When Justin wants to go bowling one night in New York, his mother Pattie points out that he has a 6 a.m. lobby call the next morning.
"Tonight's not a good night," she says. "You can go bowling any time." "Any time?" Justin asks, with reason. "All right. You name a time." "It's just late." "Ten o'clock?"
"Yes, that's too late. Justin, you're 16." "Exactly," he retorts. "I'm not two." (He didn't go bowling.)
6. WE SKIPPED PROM TO SEE U JUSTIN!
Most calculating poster made by two devoted fans. The girls waited 12 hours outside Rockefeller Plaza to see his performance on the Today show.
7. He tweets, they swoon
Justin tweets at least four times more often than any other celebrity, "almost as if he's filling a quota," Morris writes. "He follows more than 70,000 people. He actively cultivates an online conversation, maintaining the illusion that it is not one-sided by frequently giving 'shout-outs' to particular fans ('allison in the purple tye dyed shirt it was nice meeting u'). For many fans, having him follow them on Twitter is a lifetime goal ..."
8. Producer L.A. Reid on the Justin phenomenon
"Look, we put his first single out 13 months ago, and today he's selling out arenas all over America, and kids in the nosebleed section are wearing Justin Bieber T-shirts, and when he says scream, they scream, and when he says jump, they jump. I've never seen anything like it since the Beatles."
9. Pre-performance prayer by Justin's youth pastor
"Father, we come before you, acknowledging you for this day, for this opportunity. Thank you for each member of this team, Father. Thank you for the performance. May you bless each and every person, Father, and may they see you in us as we perform. In Jesus' name, amen."
10. No Advil for Justin
Millions of people take ibuprofen for a headache. Not Justin. Not before he sings, at least. Ibuprofen thins the capillaries, which might result in damage to his vocal chords.
11. Telling quote from Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager
"Never mess with the passion of a 14- or 15-year-old girl."
12. Justin, the prankster scamp
Once, having swiped the number from Scooter's phone, Justin called the singer Akon, pretending to be his illegitimate son. "He's like, 'Daddy, why don't you love me?' " Scooter laughs. "It really scared the s--- out of Akon."

Will Justin Bieber's Fame Equal Box Office Success?

The big news out of Hollywood this past week is that Justin Bieber, he of the flash Bieber mobs, he of the delightfully tousled bangs, he who is constantly being searched on Google by legions of lovesick teenage girls is going to be coming soon to a movie theater near you....in 3-D.
The film will be a concert biopic with behind the scenes footage of Bieber's life. Millions upon millions of fans devour any Bieber footage that YouTube has to offer. The question is will those fans pay the nearly $20 admission for a 3-D movie?

A similar project, 'Jonas Bros: The 3D Concert Experience' was a bit of a letdown, bringing in only $19 million at the box office.

But the Jonas Brothers, though themselves a teen sensation, are not Bieber. Girls aren't being trampled in Jonas flash mobs, so make the comparisons all you like, the audience for Bieber is much more fiercely loyal. Come February 2011, I am willing to bet they will be lining up in droves to get some Bieber smack in their face.

"Given Justin's track record with album and ticket sales so far, his movie should be a hit. First of all, the timing is great -- this year's 'Valentine's Day' movie featuring Taylor Swift topped the box office over the Valentine's Day holiday weekend The only potential weakness is that Justin's acting abilities are still untested, but that won't keep his fans away from theaters, especially when they'll have the chance to watch him in 3D for about two hours," says Billboard.com News Editor Monica Herrera

Blogger and Bieber fan Micah Jesse agrees.

"Everything Justin Bieber touches turns to gold, and while he's building an empire, fans everywhere will have the opportunity to reach out and touch him as well," Jesse said.

Sure the movie will be successful but is it the right longterm move for the Biebs? Doesn't smell just a little bit like that Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen vehicle, 'New York Minute.' Is it just too darned cute?

Maybe. But cute is fine for Bieber right about now. He isn't making that teen to adult transition for another couple of years, at which point he will need to start focusing on more serious fare if he wants to have the career arc of say a Ryan Gosling (former Mousketeer) or a Justin Timberlake (fellow Mouseketeer) instead of a Dustin Diamond (child star turned porn actor).

In a couple of years the elves responsible for crafting Bieber's image will need to sit him down and ask him who he wants to be. And a big part of that transition might just be taking some time off. Nothing allows a teen star to reinvent themselves like heading off to college for four years and reemerging as an adult, especially a teen star with a following like the Biebs that is going to have a hard time letting go of the boy to embrace the man.

But in the meantime, a concert biopic is a great way for Bieber to start moving his image on to multimedia platforms and extending his brand. No doubt it will be a money-maker. $20 may seem steep but it's about one fifth the price of concert admission and it will practically put the Biebs in your lap.
