But the screams were not as loud in Hong Kong.</p> </div><div readability="40.2521588946"> <p>The Agence France Presse is reporting that 'grumpy' <span class="tpk">Justin Bieber</span> was received by a tiny crowd when he touched down in Hong Kong.</p> <p>In Hong Kong, said the AFP had only SEVEN fans showing up at the airport to scream for Bieber and Hong Kong's Sunday Morning Post is calling his Hong Kong pitstop as an 'embarrassingly low-key reception'.</p> <p>Still quoting the paper, AFP said that the singer's body guards were three times more than his welcome party and he was described as "looking grumpy and walking straight past the small group of fans as they yelled out his name". </p></div><div readability="53.6305189775"> <p>His loyal fans in Hong Kong was however quick to defend the singer. Despite the snub, they found a way to justify Justin's behavior as he touched down Hong Kong.</p> <p>"He didn't acknowledge us but that was probably because he saw more of the photographers," the AFP quoted 15-year-old Ruth Boon as telling the post.</p> <p>The tween fan even blamed the tiny reception on school day, saying that there were not so many fans to scream for Justin because everyone was at school.</p> <p>Or was his fans sending him a message for him to give it some rest, otherwise his body will no longer gives what his heart wants?</p> <p>He may not want to disappoint his fans even willing to go to disaster stricken country of <span class="tpk">Japan</span> despite big protests of his crew. But his heart may not win it as the Canadian teen sensation's body continues to give way.</p> <p>He was last seen vomiting back stage during his performance at the Mall of Asia in Manila, Philippines. But I always give fans the best and try to perform the best that I can'</strong><br />IT'S 4:20 p.m., just hours before Justin Bieber's Manila concert, and a small group of journalists have gathered in an air-conditioned tent backstage at Mall of Asia's Concert Grounds. There is no sign of Justin Bieber.</p><p>There's a bit of a problem—they called it a wardrobe malfunction—and soon, Justin's bodyguard Kenny Hamilton was standing in front of the press, apologizing for the delay.</p><p>He displayed a flair for comedy, and after a quick "I love the Philippines," he made his exit.</p><p>Ten minutes later, Justin Bieber walked into the room. Dressed casually in a checkered shirt, knee-length denim shorts, and Vans, he looked relaxed and completely unperturbed by the evening's event and the screaming fans outside the tent. For a little over 16 minutes he answered questions about his life, his music, fame, girls and his love for pranks.</p><p>How do you feel about people who don't take your music seriously because they think you're too young?</p><p>I'm 17. I'm young. I'm not an adult yet, so people are gonna think that I make music for young people, but my music is for everybody. I definitely make songs for people my age but I'm pretty sure everybody can relate to love. It's a universal thing, it's not just for young people. I think it's all about what kind of music you like. I think my music will grow with me as a person and as I grow older.</p><p>Do you think your popularity is being put to good use?</p><p>I think that I'm able to influence people in a positive way with my music. A lot of people who are going through hard times listen to music. It's just great to hear different stories, like there was a girl and she was in the hospital going through chemotherapy, and listening to my music helped her get through it. That's a great thing in itself—that the music is able to inspire people. I think that's the best part of it.</p><p>You're a prankster. Can you share some of your most memorable pranks?</p><p>Lately I've just been stealing people's Twitters and getting on them and writing things about myself. I pranked Kenny and I wrote "Justin Bieber is amazing" on his Twitter. That's always fun.</p><p>Do you have any pranks lined up for us here in Manila?</p><p>No, I think you guys are in the clear.</p><p>How does it feel to be mentored by Usher?</p><p>Having Usher as a mentor is amazing. He's contributing a lot to my career, just helping out and guiding me in the right direction.</p><p>Who do you look up to in the music industry?</p><p>I look up to a lot of different people. Drake, he's a new kind of young star, but I look up to him in the way he's been handling himself. He's like a big brother to me. Just a lot of different people, people close to me, making it a family kind of relationship. I think that's really important.</p><p>Can you share any embarrassing moments in concert?</p><p>Two years ago, I was opening for Taylor Swift and I performed in Birmingham— and I broke my foot onstage. I was performing in front of thousands of people and I had to hop around through the rest of the song. I finished the song, but it was still pretty embarrassing.</p><p>What's your favorite video game?</p><p>Lately, we've been playing NBA 2K11 on PS3. Me and my DJ, we had this tournament and it was best two out of three and I won a hundred dollars, which was good.</p><p>Do you have a strategy on how you'll keep yourself hot when you get older?</p><p>Yeah. I think over everything, and what matters most is music. That's why I'm here, and that's why I do this. It's all because of music. Basically, I relate my emotions to everybody through music. Throughout my life, I'm gonna change, things about me will change and my music will change, but overall it's all about the music.</p><p>Your backup singers are Filipino. Did they teach you any Filipino words?</p><p>They taught me some, but they were bad, so I can't say them. What's a good word to say? Mahal kita? What does that mean? I love you? Oh okay, good.</p><p>How do you choose who to collaborate with?</p><p>It depends when I want the record to come out. I usually collaborate with people I like. Like Kanye West, Chris Brown, Rascal Flatts.</p><p>What are the things that make you happy?</p><p>I like to play basketball on my off-days, that makes me happy. I like just being with my friends. The other day we went to the Night Safari in Singapore. That was really cool, I had a lot of fun there. We've had a lot of off-days in the past couple of days so we've just been chilling and sleeping. I've been trying to catch up on sleep.</p><p>What do you do to get psyched before a performance?</p><p>We have a performance almost every night or every other night, and we always pray before we go onstage. But to get me in the game—every night is just special to me. I don't think that one night is more special than the next. I love the Philippines, but I also love Japan. They're all gonna be the same to me, they're all gonna mean as much.</p><p>I just focus and think about all my fans, that it's their one opportunity to come out and see me perform, so I always give them the best show no matter how I'm feeling. Lately, I've been feeling really sick. I have this throat congestion thing, I don't know really how to explain it, but it doesn't feel good. But I always give fans the best, and try to perform the best that I can.</p><p>Can you share some of your success secrets?</p><p>If it's working, don't change it, because that usually messes everything up. Be relatable to your fans, so other people can feel like they can relate to you, they can know how you're feeling. I think that's important. Make sure you're having fun while doing it, because if you're not having fun then it's not gonna be worth it.</p><p>How do you deal with the feeling of being treated like a god at 17?</p><p>I don't really think about it like that. My fans are really devoted, they're really special, and I really enjoy it. This has been a crazy roller coaster ride. Sometimes I get overwhelmed because it's crazy having a lot of cameras in your face and a lot of people always around you, but I'm having a lot of fun.</p><p>When you hear stories like cities are closing down or there are traffic jams all because of you, that must be something …</p><p>It is. It's crazy, it's crazy for me to think that I'm the cause of traffic jams and cities being in a craze. It's crazy, it's amazing that so many people care about me and my music so much that they wait outside the hotels or they wait in places to catch me. It's incredible. It's definitely amazing.</p><p>What's your advice for songwriters?</p><p>Write what you're feeling. Write it in a poem, that usually works. Sometimes you write songs and you have a guitar but I think that if you just write a poem, that usually works for me.</p><p>What is your favorite song of all time?</p><p>I like Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee." I like Michael Jackson's "Man In The Mirror" and "Dirty Diana."</p><p>Are you interested in collaborating with Charice Pempengco and Manny Pacquiao, who also sings?</p><p>I don't know. Maybe I'll go in the ring with Manny Pacquiao.</p><p>What about Charice?</p><p>Charice is very sweet. I met her very briefly on Oprah. She was really cool, she was really nice. I wish her the best.</p><p>Do you feel that you're a role model?</p><p>I think I have to be a role model because there are so many people listening to me and watching my every move. I know I'm going to make mistakes, but I'm going to try to just be the best I can be. I'm not gonna do anything that I wouldn't normally do. But I think that I'm a good person in general, and I think that people will see that. But I definitely don't want to put on a show. Whatever comes naturally to me is what I will do.</p><p>What qualities do you have that more guys should have?</p><p>I think guys should be nice people—especially to women. Be nice to women.</p><p>Have you ever dated a Filipina?</p><p>I talked to a Filipina girl … she was Filipina and Mexican.</p><p>Would you ever consider dating a Filipina?</p><p>Yeah. For sure. If you're still mourning the loss of Justin Bieber's luscious locks, there's some news that could very well perk you up (and, no, it hasn't grown back yet). Just days before the 'Never Say Never' star chopped off his trademark coif, toy company Bridge Direct debuted Justin Bieber 'Real Hairstyle' dolls at the American International Toy Fair in New York.

MTV News caught up with George Vorkas of Bridge Direct, who give us the rundown on everything fans can expect from the doll, whose retail price is set at $17.99 and is slated to hit shelves this August.

After the company received complaints about their first Bieber model, which featured plastic hair, Vorkas and his associates gave the 2011 model 'real' hair.

'This year, we have Justin with hair. Every girl at home can now play with his hair and style it the way they want,' Vorkas explained.

In addition to styling their toy Biebs — like the original, it "sings," only this time newer hits like "U Smile" and "Never Say Never" have been added — fans can also put him on the road. The company has created a purple (naturally) Bieber tour bus, complete with a functioning mp3 player dock and a stage setup that includes guitar, drums, keyboard and the heart-shaped cage he featured on his most recent tour.

'As Justin does new things with his stage sets, we'll be coming out with matching toys,' Vorkas assured us. (The stage sets and tour bus will go for a whopping $79.99.)

And that's not the only way the company plans to evolve with the ever-changing pop phenom. While the 2011 doll features a variety of Bieber-inspired accessories and outfits, collectors and/or purse string-opening parents can also expect ever-changing fashions from the 'Baby' singer. As Vorkas told MTV News, 'When Justin changes into a new outfit, we'll also be coming out with that outfit.'

While they've never spoken publicly about dating one another, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez proudly had their relationship on display when they hit up the famous Vanity Fair Oscar party right after the 83rd Academy Awards telecast wrapped.

The pair didn't do press on the red carpet, but they looked relaxed as they posed together for pictures. Bieber's arm was around Gomez's waist as they smiled for photos. She was wearing a red Grecian-style gown. Bieber was in an all-black tuxedo with a red pocket square, matching his date for the night. They took photos as a pair, but also individually. Inside the party, Bieber and Gomez posed for pictures with fellow teen star Hailee Steinfeld, held hands and looked at each other's phones while they texted inside the fete.

The glamorous party was attended by some of Hollywood's biggest names, including Gwyneth Paltrow, besties Taylor Swift and Emma Stone, couples like Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, as well as Oscar winner Natalie Portman and her beau, Benjamin Millepied. Among the other A-listers there were Jamie Foxx, Jake Gyllenhaal, 50 Cent, Reese Witherspoon, Michelle Williams and Jennifer Hudson, to name a few.

'Good luck to my friend Hailee Steinfeld tonight on the #oscars. young people going for theirs! also want Christian Bale to win. #TheFighter,' Bieber tweeted early on Sunday, before adding this message about his fame: 'im never gonna change ... i will always remember ... i will always be that kid from Stratford ... I will always be grateful.'

For her part, Gomez simply tweeted, 'Vanity Fair fun!' She included a photo of herself with Bieber, Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, and his date.

Justin Bieber turns 17 on March 1, and he's revealing what his plans are for the big day.

'I only have, like, four days, so I'm just going to relax, because I start my world tour starting on [March 4] -- so just going to mentally prepare and just relax,' Justin told 'Entertainment Tonight.' 'No birthday bash. ... Hopefully my grandparents will be out here and I'll be able to spend time, a little bit, with them. My grandma makes the best cheesecake -- cherry cheesecake. She made that for my 13th birthday.'

Of course, Bieber's birthday isn't the only thing making headlines these days. His new haircut has also been causing quite the hoopla, but Bieber seems to be brushing it off. 'I just wanted to [cut my hair], that's all. Not really a big reason; I just woke up and said, 'I don't want this anymore,' so I just cut it,' he said. 'It's not really about that. You know, the fans really liked it, but they'll like me no matter what, because I think it's about the music. I'm really excited to see what the fans overseas think and take it day by day.'

Bieber will re-release his 3-D flick 'Never Say Never' this weekend. 'It's 40 minutes of extra footage, so it's basically like a new movie,' he says. 'It's real exciting, because it shows me and my friends more and it shows a different part of the concert, so it's going to be great. Hopefully all the fans will go back and watch it.'

Next week, in addition to his birthday, Bieber will also kick off his European tour. 'I'm excited to see what [Willow Smith] brings to the table,' he said. 'We start on March 4, so she's really excited, and she told me that she can't wait -- and she's adorable -- so I can't wait.

'I have such great people around me and such good family,' he added. 'I just want to be a good role model to people, and to be able to just make good music. ... I'm going to make mistakes, but it's about learning from them and becoming better. ... My movie shows that anything is possible and dreams do come true. ... Remember to always stay humble and always be gracious and anything can happen.'

Justin Bieber is about to reach another milestone in his life: On Tuesday (March 1), the teen star turns 17. Already, he's had hit albums and singles, a world tour and a successful concert documentary, so he definitely has a reason to celebrate. As he gears up for the fun, MTV News asked some party planners to weigh in on what kind of bash they would throw for the pop superstar.

'I think, knowing that he's such a fan of purple, I would create a purple Willy Wonka fantasy party,' said Bruce Starr, who works at BMF Media Group in New York. 'I think we'd do it in L.A. on a studio lot and have the Oompa Loompas in purple. We'd recreate this extravagant fantasy world.'

Starr said he'd have a female DJ on the decks, but also would have some musical surprises up his sleeve. "We'd have a surprise stage, and without telling him, work with his friends and have them do surprise sets for him," he explained. "The party would have just friends and family, about 250 or 300 or 400 people tops — really intimate."

There would even be a fan element to the party. 'I think we would do huge screens for all the people who couldn't be there. We'd have surprise music videos from them, and throughout the candy land, there'd be screens with tweets from his fans,' he added.

Taylor Choi, event consultant for Gansevoort Hotel Group, explained that she'd have the perfect Big Apple hot spot for the party. 'For him, I would do something more fun and exciting,' she mused. 'I would do more like bowling or video games, some sort of 3-D type party with more technology-type stuff for him.'

So, what types of social media would that include? 'A social-media kiosk where people can take photos,' she explained. 'I would do karaoke and do something more fun and interactive. I would have a fun DJ and a fun live performance because a performance would be fun.'

As for the venue, Choi said: 'If he was in New York, I would throw it in the Gansevoort Park Avenue where we could do a 3-D installation. We can do a performance over the pool. We would deck it out for him with three floors. I'd serve cupcakes, hot dogs, burgers.

'I would have like 200 of his closest friends,' she added. 'I would definitely do 3-D stuff. He'd have fun with a small group of friends:
private, intimate, nothing too crazy. Have his friends perform a song for him.'

While it seems these planners would throw elaborate bashes for the star, Bieber recently revealed that he's hoping for a low-key affair.
